"Assisting young people in efficiently and conveniently managing their subscriptions."

Services like streaming, food delivery, and gym memberships can turn into unexpected financial burdens because many users are unaware of their monthly expenses and auto-renewal policies.

The Research

  • Briefing analysis: An in-depth examination to understand the problem, objectives and expectations.

  • Sprint questions: To guide the work and provide ideas.

  • How Might We? Questions, reprhasing the earlier inquiries from a user-focused standpoint.

  • Desk research and benchmark, to identify best practices regarding the problem.

  • User Persona to understand needs and behaviours of the target audience.

  • A storyboard that replicates the user's experience through visual images.

The Solution

  • Heatmap voting technique,were established for the final MVP.

  • Storyboard to clearly outline the app’s functionalities, ensuring that they met the necessary requirements.

Functionalities:

  • Transparent Fee Display: A visual experience allowing users to easily view the fees for each subscription.

  • Total Expenses Tracker: A global variable that keeps track of total expenses, offering users an overview of their spending.

  • Upcoming Charge Notifications: Incorporating notifications to alert users about upcoming charges, preventing any unexpected surprises.

Testing

Conclusions:

  • Over 60% of users effortlessly completed the steps.

  • A majority of users would incorporate the app into their daily routines.

  • More than half of the participants believe they would save money using the application.

  • Only 30% of users currently utilize apps related to account finance.
